SWITZER CRAFT BOAT COVERS
ABOUT SWITZER CRAFT BOATS
Producing their first watercrafts during the 1950s, Illinois marine manufacturer Switzer Craft offered small performance speedboats. Well-known for creating entertaining runabouts made of wood, Switzer Craft would follow the recreational marine industry trend by shifting to fiberglass into the 1960s. The final Switzer Craft vessels were manufactured in 1987 after the marine company’s original owners retired.

Switzer Craft Facts:
Switzer Craft is a consumer boat manufacturer and world-class racing company, which started in 1946 and was sold in 1982. In the 30 years since Switzer Craft was sold it has become a commodity for boat collectors and historians world-wide.
Company Overview: Started by Bob and Dave Switzer in 1946, Switzer Craft was a pioneer in speedboat racing and in boat designs. They also looked so good aesthetically, Switzer Craft sold their models to consumers who were looking for the best race boats. They had much success, and introduced more models that were for the amateur boater, styles that were equally fast as the race boats but easier to drive and with more utility.
